3D Printer
I wrote a grant for a 3D printer and students used it to design badges & keychains of the school mascot.
We pitched the idea of using the designs as a self-sustaining business, where students could sell their own products in a school store and donate half of the profits to the Wild Blue Charity.

While the program never launched, the template is one schools around the world could follow!

A National Yearbook of Excellence

Yearbook Staff

I was so proud to have had the chance to be the facilitator for this yearbook in the 2017-2018 school year. These students were not afraid to be different, and set out to create a yearbook that featured videos, QR codes, and every student in the school at least 3 times.

Moon over Monument

With the 2017 eclipse literally on the horizon, the students of the yearbook staff came up with a plan for the eclipse to be the theme of this year’s yearbook. The students ended up using Canon cameras with eclipse glasses to capture the incredible shot of the eclipse on the school cover. Another student then captured the wide shot of the student body.

A National Yearbook of Excellence

Out of all the memories I have from this yearbook staff, including their incredible effort to convince the student body that our theme was “the food pyramid" (and that we had a “top 10 eating shots” page), nothing tops the moment our staff revealed (in front of the student body) that they were the recipients of the the National Yearbook of Excellence award. I can not overstate how honored I was to teach this incredible group of students.
